HG 1/144 Monkey Rodi

The Monkey Rodi was one of those kits I knew I was going to enjoy the second I saw the design. It has such a chunky, rugged look to it, and once the panel lining started going down, all that detail really began to stand out. After that, the weathering was what brought it all together and gave it the kind of worn-in, battle-tested look I was hoping for.

I also thought putting it up against the Z’Gok would make for a fun shoot since they both have that krabby, heavy-duty energy to them. Different designs, same kind of presence.

Weathering and detail work on this one was done with Tamiya Panel Line Accent, AK White Spirit, AK Streaking Grime, AK weathering pencils, Tamiya Weathering Master pigments, Vallejo gloss varnish, and finished with Mr. Super Clear Matte.

Really happy with how this one came out.
